With just two NBA contests and no hockey until tomorrow, the focus of line moves today in on the diamond. Like we say every day, understanding line moves can build your bankroll.

Cliff Lee is 6-3 with a 1.60 ERA versus Atlanta hitters, who have .188 batting average against him in his last 10 start which is probably why the line have moved in Philadelphia’s favor from -130 to -150 on the money line. However, Lee has been less than dynamic to start 2014 with a 5.50 ERA in three starts and opposing batters are hitting a robust .358 versus the left-hander. Atlanta’s offense has scored 32 runs in winning four in a row and they are 7-0 in road games off three straight wins against division rivals. SWM Take – Lean Atlanta
MLB – (955) PITTSBURGH at (956) CINCINNATI 7:10 E ROOT-P, FSO
The total in this NL Central has sunk from 7.5 to 7 and it might have nothing to do with the pitchers. Last night these two teams combined to hit 10 home runs in six innings and this suspended contest will be picked up in the seventh inning to complete the game and go after the major league record of 12 homers. All this hard swinging might leave both clubs arm weary and if Gerrit Cole (2-0, 3.46 ERA) and Mike Leake (1-1, 2.45) are on top of their games, this could be a more traditional affair. This is tough call, but we do know the Pirates are 18-7 OVER after six or more consecutive road games since last seasons. SWM Take – Lean Under

Cleveland arrives in Detroit seeing red. The Indians lost 15 of 19 to the Tigers in 2013 and a complete reversal fortunate could make them AL Central champs this year. Baseball bettors at least believe the Tribe has a shot on the road to have a good start, lowering them from +160 to +140. A part of the reason for optimism is Cleveland starter Zach McAllister (1-0, 2.31) who is 15-6 when the total is 7 to 8.5 the last two seasons. (Indians Record) Unfortunately, he had an ERA of 9.00 in three outings against Detroit last season. Since being traded to the Tigers, Anibal Sanchez (0-0, 3.00) is 4-1 with a nifty 2.20 ERA. MLB – (975) KANSAS CITY at (976) HOUSTON 8:10 E FSKC, CSN-H
The Royals were supposed to be building off last year’s winning record, but a 0-5 start on the road has them with a worse record than Houston. Nonetheless, we are just over two weeks into the season and Kansas City still has better talent, which isunderachieving at the moment, and they have been built up from -140 to -155 road favorites. Royals’ hitters should get good cuts against Lucas Harrell (0-2, 11.05) and they hope rookie right-hander Yordano Ventura can be close to as effective as his first time out when he threw six shutout innings, striking out six and permitting only two hits. K.C. is 11-4 in away outings after scoring three runs or less in three straight games. SWM Take – Kansas City wins
