The huge difference for him is one walk in that span, which has kept him out of trouble. After losing a series in Baltimore, St. Louis needs Miller to stop the Miami bats and get to Tom Koehler (7-9, 3.80), who has a 2.92 ERA over his last four starts. Baseball bettors are leaning with the Cardinals, lowering them from +108 to a Pick (-105). Besides the pitchers, this conflict could come down to the sluggers, with Giancarlo Stanton 9 for 20 with two homers in his last five at Marlins Park versus St. Louis or the Cardinals Matt Adams, who is 9 for 13 in his last five meetings versus Miami.SWM Take – Slight lean St. Louis

With Tampa Bay’s Drew Smyly (6-10, 3.98) struggling with command, coming off his fifth start in which he tossed over 100 pitches yet failing to finish six innings, the Rays have slipped from -135 to under -120. Even on a much better Tigers squad, Smyly is 2-9 against a team with a losing record this season. (Team’s Record) On the other hand, a rested Lewis (five or six days between starts) is 7-0 in 2014. Seems a little risky with Yordano Ventura (9-8, 3.47) having yo-yo tendencies compared to the steadier Sonny Gray (12-5, 2.87).
