The numbers are jumping and we have five place teams which are attracting a great deal of attention. Like we say every day, understanding line moves can build your bankroll. (83-64 L37D)

MLB – (953) L.A. DODGERS at (954) ATLANTA  7:10 E  SNLA, SS

Pitching is expected to dominate in Atlanta tonight. Hyun-jin Ryu (13-5, 3.21 ERA) goes for the Dodgers and he’s 4-0 with a 1.91 ERA over this previous five starts. Ervin Santana (11-6, 3.69) has a long history be being a home park pitcher and he has a five-game winning streak at Turner Field which has produced a 2.60 ERA. This has helped send the total from 7 to 6.5 and with the Braves offense dormant again, you have to think baseball bettors are correct. Ryu is 7-0 UNDER in road games vs. teams whose hitters strike out seven or more times a game this season. SWM Take – Lean Under

MLB – (959) MILWAUKEE at (960) CHIC. CUBS  8:05 E  FSWI, CSN-C

For a second straight night, Milwaukee is a falling favorite, down to -118 from -140. Not sure I’m following the logic of this play since Brewers starter Kyle Lohse (11-6, 3.33) is 9-1 vs. teams who strand 6.9 or less runners on base per game this season. (Brewers Record) It’s not like the Cubs are expected to pound Lohse since they have tallied 10 runs in their past five contests. Other than Starlin Castro batting .400 in his past 11 contests and .362 against Milwaukee pitching in last 15 matchups, Chicago does not figure to do much damage. SWM Take – Lean Milwaukee

MLB – (963) N.Y. YANKEES at (964) BALTIMORE  7:05 E  ESPN

Trailing Baltimore by seven games in the loss column, the Yankees have to take advantage of every chance to knock off the Orioles. They were hammered on Monday 11-3, but welcome Michael Pineda (2-2, 1.83) back to the starting rotation. Chris Tillman (9-5, 3.73) takes the ball for the Birds and he is 1-1 with a 1.98 ERA in two starts against New York this year. Those betting baseball are giving the Yankees the benefit of the doubt and lowered them from +130 to +115. With the line move, Tillman and the O’s are 11-4 when the money line is +125 to -125 this season.SWM Take – Baltimore wins

MLB – (967) OAKLAND at (968) KANSAS CITY  8:10 E  CSN-CA, FSKC

Once again MLB bettors prefer the hot club against the more consistent winner. Oakland has sunk from -130 to under -115 at Kansas City. Even with the drubbing last night, the Royals are 16-4 in their last 20 tilts. They have also roughed up Scott Kazmir (13-4, 2.73), as the lefty has 6.60 ERA in his past three starts against K.C. If you are looking for the upset, keep in mind teams like Kansas City with a bullpen ERA under 3.00 in their last 10 tries, with a money line range of the money line is +125 to -125, after contest where they had at least 10 less hits than their opponent, are 16-38.SWM Take – Oakland wins
