Sports Watch Monitor Line Moves and Today’s Top Trends

A lot of excitement coast to coast for the start of the NFL season and we are ready with information. Plus we the latest line moves on three Thursday MLB contests. Like we say every day, understanding line moves can build your bankroll. (109-81 L45D)

NFL – (461) GREEN BAY at (462) SEATTLE 8:30 ET  NBC

Have to admit caught off guard a little with the total rising from 45 to 46.5. While both offenses can move the ball, the defenses, especially Seattle’s, keep teams out of the end zone. The Seahawks are 26-11 ATS the past two years and the average total score of these games have 41.3 PPG. Update – Most offshore sportsbooks have still have this NFL opener at 46.5, however, the majority of Vegas books are up to 47, with 65 percent of bets placed on the OVER.  SWM Take Lean Under

MLB – (951) ST. LOUIS at (952) MILWAUKEE 8:10 ET  FSMW, FSWI

Talk about teams headed in opposite directions! The Cardinals have won five in a row, while the Brewers have lost eight straight, leading to St. Louis taking command of the division. The Milwaukee offense has gone colder than Shannon Dougherty’s acting career, scoring 2.1 runs per game during this stretch. After being among the worst offensive teams all season, St. Louis is flexing its muscles and averaging 5.3 RPG in their last seven outings. Baseball bettors are preferring how the Cards are playing and lifted the total from 8 to 8.5 and they are 26-12 OVER after three consecutive games versus division foes, while the Brew Crew is 20-9 UNDER  after scoring four runs or less in three straight games. SWM Take – Lean Under

MLB – (955) BOSTON at (956) N.Y. YANKEES  7:05 ET  NESN, YES

Baseball bettors and I are on the same page concerning Yankees starter Chris Capuano (2-3, 4.24 ERA), we don’t think he’s very good. But New York has been so desperate for starting pitching; they like others before him have taken a flyer on him, hoping to get maybe five so-so innings and scoring runs. In spite of Boston trotting out Brandon Workman (1-8, 4.93), who is working on a seven-game losing streak, the Yankees have tumbled from -165 to -145. This is what makes betting baseball this month so hard, matchups like this, good luck. SWM Take Slightest lean of the season on New York

MLB – (957) DETROIT at (958) CLEVELAND 7:05 ET  FSD, STO

This is an extremely important contest for both these AL Central rivals trying to hunt down Kansas City. With a victory, Detroit takes this series 3-1 and opens massive homestand with San Francisco, the Royals and these same Indians. Max Scherzer (15-5, 3.26) climbs the hill for the Tigers and he and his mates have been lifted from -125 to -135 or higher at sportsbooks. Scherzer has not been at his best of late with a 5.79 ERA in last three starts. Trevor Bauer (5-7, 3.99) will attempt to give his club a split in the series and stay close for the wild card, but faces a Tigers team that is 10-1 in road games after six straight versus division rivals. SWM Take – Detroit wins
