After knocking off the top three seeds in the Western Conference the Kings have been lined
up against the winners of this year’s Eastern Conference – the No. 6 New Jersey Devils. Although the Devils have future Hall of Fame goaltender Martin Brodeur between the pipes in the twilight of his career, he’s
not the only standout netminder under the spotlight this spring.
Can Jonathan Quick continue to play at the elite level he and the rest of L.A. have come to expect of him? His reliability in net is one of the major reasons why the Kings have dominated the NHL futures since knocking off the top-ranked Vancouver Canucks in Round 1.
With one more game set to take place in New Jersey before the series shifts over to California, Devils fans will hope to see at least some sign of resistance from their club before it’s too late. The NHL odds are against them.
The gloves are off.
