Rocky Atkinson’s Nascar Las Vegas Recap and Talladega Preview
PICKS RECAP Rocketman is 88-48 65% last 3 years with all Nascar picks. Only 1-2 this past weekend in Nascar but I did cash my 10* play on Kenseth over Bell. My 8* lost with Kenseth over Custer and I lost 6* play on Reddick over Bell. I dropped my free play on the show with Austin Dillon over Byron. I did tell everyone to pound Johnson over Bell if they could and it cashed.
PREVIOUS RACE RECAP (LAS VEGAS)
Kurt Busch got the win at his home track for the first time ever. He definitely was not on my radar. He is the first driver to lock in a position in the Round of 8 with the win. Stage 1 was won by Denny Hamlin while Stage 2 was won by Chase Elliott. It was a relatively boring race for most of the first part of it but then several cautions at the end led to some excitement. Kyle Busch, Clint Bowyer, Aric Almirola and Austin Dillon are the 4 drivers currently out of the Top 8 heading into Talladega. Alex Bowman sits in the 8th position at the moment. Austin Dillon had the worst finish out of all the playoff drivers at 32nd but he had a much better car than that finish.

MY PICK FOR WINNER: Austin Dillon – We have a playoff contender who was rolling along lately and had a great car once again here in Las Vegas but then had a couple different issues to take him out of the race.
