Monday Night Football and we will see the Seattle Seahawks invade Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois to grapple with the Chicago Bears. This contest has a start time of 8:15 pm ET. The Seahawks come in off a 27-24 road loss to the Broncos, while the Bears are off a hard-fought 24-23 loss to the Packers on the road. These teams last met back in 2015 and the Seahawks won that game at home by a score of 26-0.

Lines: Chicago -4.5 … Over/Under 43

A Look At The Seahawks

The Seahawks did not get off to a good start as they fell to the Broncos on the road by a score of 27-24. This looks like it could be a rebuilding year for Seattle. They still have some nice pieces but have also lost some big pieces the last few years. Russell Wilson is a very solid QB, but he can’t do it all alone. He needs some help. The receiving corp is rather weak and they just can’t seem to get their ground attack going. That has been a problem since they lost Marshawn Lynch. They ran for just 64 yards in the loss to the Broncos and that just won’t get it done. They need to get the ground game going as it will take the pressure off of Wilson.

Speaking of Wilson, he hit 19/33 passes for 298 yards and three TDs, but he also had two INTs in the game as well and he was sacked six times for 56 yards. Now he has to square off against Khalil Mack. This may not be pretty for Wilson. The defense allowed Case Keenum to throw for 329 yards and three TDs, but they also picked off three passes. It just wasn’t enough. They will look for more consistency from their defense in this one.

A Look At The Bears

The Chicago Bears nearly pulled the upset in week one, but Aaron Rodgers led a comeback and Chicago lost by a score of 24-23. Chicago had a 20-3 lead in the 3rd, but the Packers outscored them 21-3 in the 4th quarter to walk away with the win. The big acquisition for the bears was the trade for Khalil Mack and he paid dividends right away. Mack had one sack and he also ran back an INT for a TD. The Bears still lost the game, but he is worth everything they gave up to get him. He is a game-changer and will now face Russell Wilson, who was sacked six times last week. The offensive line for Seattle is not that good and he could have a field day in this one.

Mitch Trubisky had an average day as he hit 23/35 passes for 171 yards with no TDs and no INTs. He did rush for 32 yards and a TD. Leading the ground attack was Jordan Howard, who ran for 82 yards on 15 carries. The Bears ran for 139 yards in the game and will need to keep that up if they want to knock off the Seahawks in this one. Chicago is an improved team and they have played well on Monday nights in the past, but so have the Seahawks. This should be a good game.
