Sports Betting Line Moves and Today’s Top Trends

By Doug Upstone

A new week commences with sports betting opportunities and here are the major line moves for Monday. Like we say every day, understanding line moves can build your bankroll.

NBA – (701) MILWAUKEE at (702) PHILADELPHIA  7:05 E  FSWI,CSN-PH  (side and total)

The only thing I can figure with so few games to choose from today, those betting basketball are really bored focusing so much attention on this crummy contest. It’s not every day the Sixers are a favorite (just four times all year) and they have been shifted from -1.5 to +1.5 against what has been the worst team in the NBA in Milwaukee, who has been a posted favorite just three times themselves this season. This is hard to say, but with Philly’s recent trades, the Bucks actually have a better roster. The total has also been altered, up two points to 208.5 and these are the 23rd and 30th ranked scoring defenses respectively in the league. Milwaukee is 12-3 OVER against teams surrendering 46 percent or more of shots made. SWM Take – Lean Milwaukee and Over

NBA – (707) L.A. CLIPPERS at (708) NEW ORLEANS  8:05 E  FSPT, FSNO

After a poor performance at Memphis, the Clippers came to play and took the action to Oklahoma City on the road and beat them by eight yesterday. Los Angeles rang up 125 points on Sunday and is 20-10 OVER after surpassing the 105-point barrier. Basketball bettors believe the Clips will carry the tempo and took the total from 205 to 207, despite the fact New Orleans is 7-0 UNDER at home revenging a road loss of 10 points or more this season. SWM TakeLean Under

CBB – (713) OKLAHOMA STATE at (714) TCU  7:00 E   ESPNU

This past Saturday was extremely important for Oklahoma State. Having lost seven straight (0-7 ATS), the last three without Marcus Smart, the Cowboys needed an impressive effort just to start working their way into “bubble talk discussion” for the NCAA tourney. With a resounding 22-point beatdown of Texas Tech, Okie State can take the next step with a road blowout of TCU. The Cowboys opened as -11.5 and were stepped up to -13.5. The Horned Frogs have yet to win in the Big 12 action (though 6-3 ATS of late) and Oklahoma State is 3-10 ATS away after being a favorite in previous outing. SWM TakeLean TCU
