Sports Betting NFL Football Line Moves and Today’s Top Trends
By Doug Upstone
Week 11 of the NFL season is fast approaching and we have the latest NFL football line moves. Studying line moves can become a very profitable venture if you know what to look for.
NFL – (407) DETROIT at (408) PITTSBURGH 1:00 ET FOX
The Lions gutted out a road win over rival Chicago and was installed as a visiting favorite over Pittsburgh at -3. While Detroit is 3-1 SU and ATS as a road favorite, long time failures are hard to forget, with the Lions 7-20 ATS giving seven points or less as a visitor. Detroit has fallen to -1.5 and Pittsburgh is 6-0 ATS at home versus defensive teams allowing 350 yards or more YPG.
NFL – (409) WASHINGTON at (410) PHILADELPHIA 1:00 ET FOX
Most of the season, both the Eagles and Redskins offenses have been productive and both are averaging over 25 points a contest. Defensively, each has been near the bottom of most statistics and Philadelphia is allowing 24.4 points a game and Washington is even worse at 31.9. Football bettors see plenty of points to be scored and raised the total from 51 to 52.5. After rushing for 204 yards last week, Philly is 6-0 OVER after gaining 200 or more rushing yards the last three seasons.
NFL – (411) SAN DIEGO at (412) MIAMI 4:05 ET CBS
With Miami 1-5 SU and ATS after a 3-0 start, losing to previous winless Tampa Bay left a bad taste in the mouths of sports bettors. The Dolphins initially were a 1.5-point home favorite and have been flipped to +1 against San Diego, who is coming off a pair of losses. The Chargers are 1-8 ATS in November the past three years and these teams are 11-1 UNDER since 1993.
NFL – (413) BALTIMORE at (414) CHICAGO 1:00 ET CBS
Though Jay Cutler proved to be more of a detriment than an asset in the loss to Detroit, not everyone is convinced Josh McCown is the answer to get Chicago back to winning and they have lowered the Bears from -4 to -3. The situation certainly does not favor Chicago who is 2-9 ATS when the line is +3 to -3 recently.
NFL – (415) CLEVELAND at (416) CINCINNATI 1:00 ET CBS
The recent failures of Cincinnati and Cleveland sporting the No.5 total defense has caused those making NFL picks to reflect and they that taken this battle of Ohio from the home team favored by 6.5 to 5.5. This could correct, especially with Cincy 5-14 ATS after a two-game road trip.
NFL – (423) MINNESOTA at (424) SEATTLE 4:25 ET FOX
This would appear to be a real mismatch based on records alone. Yet not everyone is convinced of a blowout and Seattle has been filtered back from -13.5 to -12. Since the second half of the Green Bay loss, Minnesota has been playing better football and has covered their last two games. While the Vikings might only be 1-4 on the road, the margin of defeat has been 4.8 points. Let’s just not go overboard, with Seattle 16-6 ATS at home after gaining 400 or more yards, winning by 13.6 PPG.
NFL – (427) GREEN BAY at (428) N.Y. GIANTS 4:25 ET FOX
The Giants have won three straight and Big Blue backers could not get their money in fast enough to support their team with a quarterback matchup of Eli Manning versus Scott Tolzien. The Giants went from -3 to -6 quicker than a New York minute. Besides the quarterback difference, the Giants receivers could dominate the Packers weak secondary.
