Had some obstacles to overcome today, thus we are changing things up for today with a different version of line moves. Like we say every day, understanding line moves can build your bankroll. (66-49 L29D)
Washington has just blown up as a favorite today, starting at -165 and now up to -190. The proof is in the numbers with the Nationals backed by 90 percent of bettors and the floundering Phillies are 3-15 after allowing eight runs or more this season.
Despite the excellence of the Reds ace Johnny Cueto (11-6, 2.08 ERA), Cincinnati is a falling favorite from -125 to under -110. The Reds offense has gone dark in scoring 24 total runs, causing them to lose 10 of 12. With Miami having won nine of 11, interesting to note more than 80 percent of baseball bettors are on Cincy.
When was the last time you saw a total of 5.5 like the Braves and Dodgers game tonight? Just over 50 percent think this will be an OVER play.
Because Tyler Skaggs (5-5, 4.49) has been so-so the past couple of months and Bud Norris (8-7, 3.94) is a notorious home field pitcher, the Orioles moving from +110 to -109 is not really a surprise. Norris is also 4-0 with a 0.52 ERA in five career starts versus the Halos and is 26-13 at home when the money line is +125 to -125 in his career. (Team’s Record) Despite the flip, 54 percent still are on Los Angeles.
Once again the total has fallen with Minnesota and Kansas City, down from 8 to 7.5. Neither team is scoring much which is likely the lead reason; yet better than 55 percent are betting the OVER.
In CFL action, Hamilton has a strong following, up from -3 to -4.5. The TiCats have only won once in four tries but are 3-1 ATS. Winnipeg is a sharp 4-1 SU and ATS, covering three times as an underdog. One caveat, the Blue Bombers are 3-12 ATS off an upset win by 10 points or more as a road underdog
