Sports Watch Monitor Line Moves and Today’s Top Trends

In the NBA on Wednesday, the totals are attracting most of the betting action but we have one where the line moves are on total and side. Besides the one NHL contest in which the numbers are moving, Dallas is also slipping as a favorite. Did you know Houston is 8-3 at Seattle and goes after a third straight win, leading to them tumbling from +155 to +135? Like we say every day, understanding line moves can build your bankroll.

NBA – (731) PORTLAND at (732) HOUSTON  9:35 E  TNT (side and total)

Basketball bettors are thinking retribution for Houston after losing Game 1 in the series and fired the Rockets from -5.5 to -6.5. Why this might not be the sure thing most would assume, understand Portland is 10-1 and 7-4 ATS since Mar. 27 and while they are more known for their offense, it has been the defensive resurgence which has sparked them, only allowing one team to shoot over 48 percent in their past 13 outings. The total is also on the rise, up 2.5-points to 214.5 and Houston is 9-1 ATS having lost four of five SU. SWM TakeLean Portland and Under

MLB – (963) PHILADELPHIA at (964) L.A. DODGERS  10:10 E CSN-P, SNLA

Normally, the Dodgers toy with Philadelphia in L.A. but not so far in this series, having lost two straight. The Phillies have found their hitting shoes and have tallied 37 hits in their last three games (all wins) and will swing at the tosses of Zack Greinke (3-0, 2.42 ERA, 1.03 WHIP). Philadelphia will have Cole Hamels toe the rubber for the first time this season, coming off shoulder inflammation and the Phils are falling underdogs, down to +145 from +165. In his career, Hamels is 6-1 with a 2.42 ERA against Los Angeles; however, Dodger Blue with Greinke is 12-1 off a loss since last year. SWM TakeLos Angeles wins

MLB – (971) KANSAS CITY at (972) CLEVELAND  7:05 E  FSKC, STO

The Royals evened the series last night in this AL Central encounter and look to take the lead as underdogs today. Kansas City’s offense should give them a chance, averaging over 10 hits a contest in their last seven games and winning six of eight overall. Cleveland on the other hand has lost eight of 12, surrendering five runs a game. Those betting baseball believe K.C. has a shot and have lowered them from  +130 to under +115, with Jason Vargas (2-0, 1.24, 0.93) on the hill versus Justin Masterson (0-0, 4.98, 1.56). Cleveland might be 22-12 off a loss by four or more runs; nonetheless, they are 1-6 this season against lefties. SWM Take – Kansas City wins

NHL – (21) ST. LOUIS at (22) CHICAGO  9:35 E  NBCSN

The home team has won the first three games in the series and Chicago will try to keep that going to even the series. A closer look at Game 3 showed St. Louis outplayed the Blackhawks for large expanses and only the great goaltending of Corey Crawford permitted Chicago to win. The Blues opened at +130 and have sunk to +120. This is an all important battle for both clubs and the Hawks have won seven of the last nine meetings on home ice. SWM Take – Lean St. Louis
