The Pistons and Magic have met twice previously this season. The first an 89-78 win for Detroit, the second a 102-95 final that also went against Orlando. Both were in Detroit, so Orlando will hope that home court advantage provides a different outcome, as they have won almost two-out-of-three at home this season, while the Pistons have one of the worst road records in the NBA.
The key will be to have Dwight Howard continue to play as one of the league’s elite, as he leads the Magic in points, rebounds, assists and steals. They’ll also have to shut down Detroit’s Rodney Stuckey, who tops the Pistons in points and assists.
